Homemade Almond Milk


This is an amazing recipe, you can add whatever sweetener you prefer along with spices. It doesn't contain any of the additives of store bought almond milk, and it tastes so much better.

1 cup raw organic almonds (soaked for 4-8 hours)
4 cups filtered water
pinch of sea salt
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract or vanilla paste
1-3 Tablespoons honey or agave nectar or maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg or cinnamon

In a blender at medium then high speed, blend soaked almonds, water, sea salt until smooth. Pour through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to separate pulp. Pour liquid back into the blender and blend in vanilla, herbs and sweetener until smooth.
